In 2005 I completed my Master’s degree in Pastoral Care and Counselling at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, Pietermaritzburg Campus. I was ordained as a Pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southern Africa in 2003. I have been serving as a Pastor, Community Leader and Counsellor for the last 17 years. I also filled the post of Practical Theology lecturer at the Church’s seminary in Pietermaritzburg.
I am currently busy with my doctrinal studies at the University of Pretoria. I am researching what kind of pastoral care young men need, when they lose their father’s violently at the age of 12 years.
One of my passions in life has always been helping people rebuild their lives, reaching their full potential and becoming more than what they ever thought they could be….
This led to my registration as a Specialist Counsellor with Council for Counsellors South Africa.
My desire is that Sunflower Wellness Hub must be a place of Hope and Inspiration to everyone who walks through its doors!
I offer online and in-person counselling for individuals and couples, who struggle with relationships, grief and loss, the stresses of life, work, finances, family life etc., trauma debriefing, anger management, officiating at wedding ceremonies and registration of marriages at home affairs.
Establishing Sunflower Wellness Hub has been a dream for many years, which has finally come to fulfilment. Why a Sunflower? Sunflowers turn according to the position of the sun. In other words, they chase the light. However, on rainy and cloudy days, they turn towards each other to share their energy. When you become low-spirited and vulnerable, I want to be your sunflower…. supporting and empowering you, sharing my skills and knowledge with you…. sharing my energy with you.
